Objective: ASWBAT analyze SA #8 / CA #2 to determine areas of improvement. ASWBAT identify and analyze structural features of text.

1. Track Mr. Herrera as he completes an Error Analysis of Skills Assessment #8 / Common Assessment #2. Complete a Meta-cognitive Analysis of Skills Assessment #8 / Common Assessment #2. Submit the link to your analysis here.
2. Track Mr. Herrera as he presents Structural Features of Text and shows you how to analyze informational articles. Use the graphic organizer to take notes. Be sure to ask questions for anything you're unsure about! Read and annotate "President's Day Dilemma"
3. With your small reading group, read the rest of the article and individually answer the thinking questions on the graphic organizer. Then submit your share link here.
4. Find another piece of exemplary work dated after February 1, 2012 and put it in the black tray so it gets posted onto the Student Work Wall. Examples of acceptable work include:
- Skills Assessment Parent Letters (Proficient or Advanced)
- CFQ's (Proficient or Advanced)
- Socratic Seminar Peer Graded Sheets (Proficient or Advanced)
- Exemplary Reading Logs (completed with few or no mistakes)
5. Update your table of contents in your Brain. Paste any missing pages into your Brain.
6. Check to make sure ALL tests, quizzes, Socratic Seminars, and CFQ's are inside your portfolio.
Options for Academic Free Time:
1. Check out the class website for things to do if you are finished early!
Homework:
- Personal Reading (20 minutes)
- Complete the AR Book Response (must be neat and organized to receive credit)
- Get Parent Letter signed by parent
- Be sure you have finished ALL of today's tasks
