Objective: ASWBAT correctly use transitional devices, semicolons, colons, and commas. ASWBAT use parallelism and similar grammatical forms.

• Skills Assessment #11 / Common Assessment 3 is Thursday and Friday, April 19 and 20, 2012.
• Vocabulary Competition for Quarter 3 is in effect! Don't fall behind! Competition ends Thursday, April 19, 2012.
• The last day to submit any AR Quizzes toward your AR Goal is Friday, April 20, 2012.

1. Complete the Do Now. Then complete the Hook.

2. Track Mr. Herrera as he presents The Writing Process. Use the graphic organizer to take notes. Be sure to paraphrase and show excellence in your writing.

3. Work with your teammates to create sentences related to The Pact that show your understanding of today's keypoints.

4. Individually create sentences related to The Pact that show your understanding of today's keypoints.

5. Get even more practice by writing an essay on what helped The Pact buddies succeed in life that shows your understanding of today's keypoints.
