11 Days Until the CST! Types of Poetry (LA 3.1)

Objective: ASWBAT compare and contrast different types of poetry.

• Vocabulary Competition for Quarter 3 is in effect! Don't fall behind! Competition ends Thursday, April 19, 2012.
• The last day to submit any AR Quizzes toward your AR Goal is Friday, April 20, 2012.

1. Open the graphic organizer and complete the Hook.

2. Track Mr. Herrera as he presents Characteristics of Poetry. Take notes using the graphic organizer.

3. With your teammates, complete the questions for "Do not go gentle into the night". Listen to the author's reading of the poem, then finish your responses.

4. Individually complete the questions for "Cowboy's Lament".
