Day 30: Accurate Summaries

Objective: ASWBAT compare original texts of Rules of the Game, The Possibility of Evil, and Of Mice and Men to summaries to determine whether or not they include all main ideas, critical details, and underlying meaning.


1. Complete the Do Now.

2. Analyze this image and on the top of page 29 write how you think it relates to today's lesson on "accurate summaries". Be sure to write at least a paragraph.

3. Track Mr. Herrera as he explains Accurate Summaries. Take Cornell notes on page 29 of your Brain.

4. Rewrite the summary of The Possibility of Evil to make it an accurate summary on the top half of page 30 of your Brain.

5. Rewrite the summary of Of Mice and Men to make it an accurate summary on the bottom half of page 31 of your Brain.
