1. Complete the Do Now. Use the -fy suffix information site to help you.
2. Analyze this image and on the top of page 34 write how you think it relates to today's lesson on "multiple interpretations". Be sure to write at least a paragraph.
3. Track Mr. Herrera as he explains Multiple Interpretations. Take Cornell notes on page 34 of your Brain below your paragraph.
4. On page 35 of your Brain, copy the Say, Mean, Matter Chart and complete it by answering each question, finding a quote in the text to support your answer, and explaining what it means and why it matters.
5. Go back to page 34, draw a horizontal line, and then answer the following question in paragraph format: "When and why is it acceptable to have multiple interpretations? How does the Say, Mean, Matter strategy help you make appropriate interpretations?"
