- Thanksgiving Day Break is upon us! School will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week to celebrate and give thanks. Remember to be thankful for all of the wonderful people and things in your life.
1. Paste your Diagnostic Report onto page 69 of your Brain. If you did not take the STAR Reading Test on 11.10.11, let Mr. Herrera know so that he can schedule a time for you to take it. If you did take it, look at your new ZPD.Write it down on your Reading Log on page 62 of your Brain. Then make sure that the book you are currently reading is within your ZPD and is a book that you are interested in!
2. Complete SA #3 Analysis. Read the directions carefully and ask questions if you're confused.
3. Make sure that you have posted at least 1 item you are proud of on the Student Work Wall. You can do this pretty easily by getting a pin and using a chair or desk to reach your spot on the wall, if needed. Students who do not have something posted by the end of this class period will have 10 points deducted from their grade.

1. Check out the class website for things to do if you are finished early!

- Read p. 53-78 of House on Mango Street. Write 10 comments (1 comment per chapter/vignette). Use at least 5 different reading strategies.
